
Your use of my services is subject to your acceptance of the following terms. These terms were last modified on 24 October 2007, and are subject to change.
1. Hourly rates
1.1. Where an hourly rate is charged, the number of hours you will be charged for will be the number of hours worked rounded up to the nearest half-hour.
1. Loss and damage to property
1.1. While I take great care to perform all the work I do on customers' computers in a safe and professional manner, in the extremely unlikely event of either (a) damage to hardware or other property, or (b) loss, damage, or compromise of security of data (your documents, pictures, settings and so on), – or a combination of both of these – I shall not be held liable.
1. Source material
1.1. ‘source material’ means the physical items you give to me to work with
1.2. acceptable source material is printed photographs (often just called ‘prints’) up to A4 in size, developed 35 mm photographic negatives, and 35 mm slides
1.3. you must own the copyright to the source material
1.4. pornographic source material cannot be accepted
2. Loss and damage of source material
2.1. while I will take the utmost care of your source material, I cannot be held liable for loss or damage of the source material
3. Privacy and security
3.1. ‘images’ means the electronic files I produce to work with, from the source material
3.2. your images will be stored on a modern computer system – access to which is password-protected and firewalled – and managed in accordance with good security practices; however, in the extremely unlikely event of a security compromise, leading to for example your images being accessible to others, I cannot be held responsible for any consequences that may arise as a result
3.3. your images will be stored electronically for approximately one month after your order is completed, in case there is a problem with your order, and to facilitate re-ordering within that period; if you would prefer your pictures not be stored for this period, please let me know when you place your order
4. Service times
4.1. I offer a competitively fast service and will often be able to turn around small orders on the same day they are received, delivering them by hand in the local area; however, there is no guaranteed service time
4.2. orders including a printed end product will take longer – around 3 or 4 working days
4.3. I’ll quote you an estimated turnaround time before you place your order
5. The end product
5.1. ‘end product’ means the finished result of your order
5.2. the end product can include one or more CDs or DVDs, and printed images
5.3. CDs and DVDs will be tested to ensure that they have been burned (written to) correctly
5.4. the CDs and DVDs I produce are compatible with all modern home computer systems, including Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X, but NOT Windows 98 or Millennium Edition (Me); however in the unlikely event of a compatibility issue, a solution will be discussed with you and/or a refund may be given
